Buddha in Gold

Year:  2015

Medium:  Mixed Media Acrylic on cradled panel with gold metal leaf, and gold mica powder.  Finished cradle frame with acrylic and distressed gold metal leaf.

Dimensions:  12 inches x 12 inches

Description:  Each piece we create as artists represents a part of your own process in owning your voice and capturing the essence within yourself that is pushing you to create.  This piece was epic for me in my own process.  I felt so much clarity in what I captured, with the Buddha image transfer clarity over textured gold metal leaf and Paynes Gray – one of my favorite colors to work with.  Red oxide and gold mica power dance over the muddied waters of our mind.
